Biologist

Person who, as a specialist in natural sciences, carries out experimental and theoretical research on living organisms and phenomena relating to life in all its manifestations. His research on evolution, physiology, reproduction, zoology, botany or ecology aims in particular to increase scientific knowledge and to discover possible applications of biology in different fields (human and animal health, agriculture, breeding , forestry, environment, etc.). It can also carry out field work (inventory, monitoring and development of natural habitats, etc.) in order to study the characteristics specific to certain species, to protect biodiversity or to control the development of populations. Finally, it may be required to provide consulting services within the framework of projects relating to ecology, ecotourism or the dissemination of scientific knowledge in biology.
