Animal Health Technician
Person who performs various technical operations in order to assist a veterinary surgeon in a veterinary clinic, a farm, a laboratory or in a zoological garden where he takes care, among other things, of feeding and grooming animals (bath, shaving, pruning, etc.). In practice, she welcomes the animal and prepares it for consultation, performs the diagnostic tests requested and administers the drugs, handles, immobilizes and takes care of the animal during treatments, assists the veterinarian during surgeries by preparing equipment and administering anesthesia. She can also advise her clients on the care to be given to pets.
