A doctor who specializes in treating cancer with drugs, also called a chemotherapist. A medical oncologist can offer different types of cancer treatments: chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy … Regular consultations allow the medical oncologist to check the progress of the treatment and treat any adverse effects, during and at the end of treatments.
