Aeronautical Systems Technician

Person who, as a member of the armed forces, performs the maintenance and servicing of the aeronautical systems of aircraft as well as the servicing of ground equipment and support facilities. She tests and inspects aeronautical systems (propulsion, armaments, electrical systems, survival equipment) in order to detect any possible defect, and she makes the necessary repairs. She also performs tasks related to the movement of aircraft, such as ground guidance, parking, towing, engine ignition, fueling, cleaning and de-icing; she operates aircraft support equipment and engine test stands, identifies and controls corrosion agents. She fills out the appropriate forms and maintains statistical data concerning the aircraft.
