Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Person who checks, maintains and repairs components and systems (engines, propellers, aircraft instruments, electrical systems, etc.) of various types of aircraft (jets, propeller planes and helicopters) in order to ensure their airworthiness in accordance with applicable aeronautical laws and regulations. She must have a good understanding of the principles of aeronautics and the operation of the various components of aircraft in order to be able to detect and correct any cause of technical problems. She must also be on the lookout for new electronic and computer technologies relating to its field.
