Food Industry Engineer
Transforming agricultural raw materials into products intended for food: this is the main mission of the food engineer. Biscuits, ready meals, drinks, preserves … Whatever the product is, this trained scientist works at different levels of production. Upstream, the research and development engineer designs new products and develops new recipes, taking into account the demands of the marketing department. When the recipe is validated, production, production can begin. The manufacturing engineer then comes into play: he organizes the life of the factory to produce efficiently and quickly while also ensuring compliance with manufacturing processes. Alongside these, the quality manager, also an engineer, performs tests, checks the ingredients and the processed products so that the quality of the finished product complies with the specifications. Finally, he works in contact with many other professions: cooks, biologists, operators, salespeople, marketing specialists.
