General Practitioner

Person who, as a physician, sees patients annually and reviews their state of health. She can also receive them in a walk-in clinic when they experience discomfort or pain that is not of the order of the severity of the hospital emergency department. In both cases, she asks them about possible symptoms, performs a physical examination, if necessary, has tests or samples taken for analysis, and then makes a diagnosis, if necessary. She then establishes the treatment plan and provides follow-up to see to the improvement or maintenance of their condition. If necessary, she directs them to a specialist doctor or other resources in order to provide them with all the care their condition requires.
