Mineral Processing Technician

Person who performs various technical tasks relating to the treatment of ore extracted from quarries. She deals, among other things, with the control of extraction processes (crushing, grinding, sieving and drying), the improvement of treatment processes, control and treatment of mining residues as well as laboratory analyzes ( ore recovery methods) to determine the characteristics of the ore (weight, grade, type, moisture content). She assists the mining engineer or mineralogist when testing rock materials in the laboratory. She can also contribute to process design and collaborate in the optimization of production in order to increase the rate of recovery of the ore.
