He is a specialist in ophthalmology. Ophthalmology is a surgical specialty that deals with the structure and function of the eye, as well as the diseases and abnormalities that affect them. Note that some ophthalmologists (or ophthalmologists) can direct their activity towards subspecialties, and in particular: cataract surgery; refractive surgery; retinal diseases; or glaucoma.
