Specialist Technician in Naval Engineering

Person who participates in the design of shipbuilding and repair projects by performing various complex technical tasks. In particular, she performs various calculations to determine, among other things, the weight, center of gravity and structure of the ship, all of which must be known before carrying out detailed drawings and manufacturing plans. She also calculates the quantity of materials needed and it estimates the costs of carrying out the project. She also contributes to studies, planning and supervision of tasks, control inspections and performance tests. She must ensure that the work complies with laws, technical recommendations and industry standards, then she must write technical reports on the work performed.
