Person who plans, organizes and coordinates activities relating to teaching and research in a university department. It establishes the priorities and orientations of the department, oversees the application of regulations and the implementation of programs and participates in the preparation and management of budgets. She is also responsible for the selection and evaluation of teaching staff, the quality of the supervision provided to research candidates and the organization of educational events (conferences, study days, research activities. development, etc.). She can act as an advisor to staff and students and work on curriculum modification.
