Aerospace Engineering Officer
Person who, as a member of the armed forces, is responsible for the maintenance of military aircraft, support equipment and related installations. She leads the design, production and testing of new aircraft-related systems as well as the modification of existing systems, participates in the development of aircraft policies, standards and specifications. She develops and directs computer simulations of aerospace vehicles, components and systems and analyzes test flights, investigates and reports structural failures, accidents or incidents and recommends corrective actions. It also manages the human resources placed under its command as well as the material and financial resources made available to it.
