Person who analyzes, on behalf of a financial institution (bank, credit union or government finance company), financing requests from agricultural businesses. In each case, she assesses the financial situation of the business, studies the owners’ plans to determine if they are eligible for financial assistance, determines the appropriate financial product (term loan, line of credit, mortgage) and the amount of credit that can be granted. She can also seek financial partners likely to be associated with the projects in question or propose changes in the management of the company so as to enable her to obtain the necessary funds with less financial risk. She prepares all the documents relating to the financing solution chosen, submits them to a department manager for approval and follows up on the request according to the terms of the agreement.
