Biochemistry Technologist
Person who performs, in the laboratory, chemical analyzes of the components of the human organism, in order to obtain information useful for the prevention, the diagnosis and the treatment of diseases. Her task is to analyze samples (blood, urine, etc.) and observe their appearance, color and precipitate, from which the results of the analysis are given. She contributes to advancing research on the chemistry of processes (growth, reproduction, infection, etc.) and on chemical and biological substances liable to be used in the manufacture of drugs. She works in a laboratory where chemical, biological or biochemical analyzes are carried out (agrifood industries, cosmetics, etc.). She must be meticulous in tests and analyzes and properly report its observations in order to contribute effectively to the research in which it participates.
