What does a Clinical Laboratory Technician do and How to Become One

Person who, in a laboratory and in collaboration with chemists, performs various experiments and tests relating to the preparation and analysis of chemicals or to the control of their quality, with a view to contributing to the development of new processes or products. During experiments or tests, he implements various techniques, prepares and processes solutions, samples and reagents, and compiles and processes data relating to analyzes and experiments carried out. Depending on its mandate, he may also participate in the design and manufacture of experimental equipment or in the development of sampling and quality control programs. He must comply with all standards and safety measures applicable to laboratory work in order to ensure the safety of the people who work there and the quality of the products processed.
