Person who performs various tasks to improve the quality of people’s diets and promote their health. She can specialize in different fields of intervention such as food service management, the agri-food industry, customer services, inspection, consumption and communication. According to its mandate, it can coordinate the production and distribution of food by applying the standards of hygiene and sanitation as well as those of health and safety at work, ensure the follow-up and respect of the recommended diets, participate in the control chemical, physical, biochemical and microbiological properties of food, inform and educate the population about food. She may also participate in testing, developing, marketing or promoting certain food products and collaborating with a dietitian in the planning of menus, plans and diets. Sometimes her job is to prepare presentations for commercials or recipes.
