Director of Recreation Programs

Person who designs activity programs and who plans, directs and determines the human, financial and material resources necessary to offer recreational services to the various clienteles of outdoor centers and those of municipal, institutional, community, commercial and industrial organizations . To do this, she studies and analyzes leisure needs and resources, then organizes, carries out and governs sports, social, recreational or educational activities. She assesses the objectives, scope, cost and impact of organized activities, recruits staff, trains volunteers as needed, assigns them tasks and coordinates their work. She also ensures that the programs are known to the media and community groups through advertising campaigns.
