Person responsible for carrying out the day-to-day financial transactions requested at the counter by customers in a bank or credit union (deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, settling bills, transferring funds, etc.), providing them with information on the products and financial services available and respond to their inquiries or complaints regarding their accounts. She may also be responsible for providing various other services: opening and closing accounts, subscribing to savings plans, receiving commercial deposits and selling travelers’ checks, foreign currencies or bank money orders. She must adequately complete all the formalities necessary for the various financial transactions and respect the procedures specific to each type of transaction so as to facilitate the subsequent work of the personnel of the accounting department.
