Person who, in a financial institution (bank, credit union, finance company, investment company, etc.), performs various tasks relating to the compilation, processing, verification or updating of financial transactions or customer accounts. She must, for example, compile transaction records (deposits, withdrawals, collection fees), verify transactions made at the ATM and draw up the balance sheet, prepare account statements and collect payments or monitor accounts suffering. She may also be responsible for responding to requests for specific products or services (opening savings accounts, applying for a Registered Retirement Savings Plan, renting safety deposit boxes).
