Instrumental Music Teacher at the University
Person who teaches music from a theoretical and technical point of view (history, music theory, harmony, rhythm, structure of the compositions) in a higher education establishment, in order to promote in his students the mastery of certain instruments (piano, trumpet, violin, etc.) as well as the development of the skills necessary to practice a profession in the field of music. She establishes a program that she adapts to the needs of each of her students, inventories a varied musical repertoire according to the instruments chosen, teaches theory, gives demonstrations and has exercises done. She assesses students’ performance and gives them advice on how to improve. She can also organize concerts and master classes.
