Career Path of a Claims Adjuster

Person who verifies, on behalf of an insurance company, the indemnities that the latter must normally pay, after investigation, to the insured victims of a disaster (fire, theft, accident, material loss, etc.). She particularly studies doubtful or contentious cases in order to be able to establish the real liability of the company towards the insured and, when it is proven that the latter must pay, she authorizes the payment of the sums and proceeds to their settlement according to the company policy.
