A literary director is, in a publishing house, the one who sets editorial policy, is responsible for evaluating manuscripts, provides services such as proofreading, proofreading and literary criticism, and contributes to the drafting of contracts ( conditions, royalties, circulation, date of publication) Person who, on behalf of a publishing house, evaluates manuscripts to determine whether or not it is relevant to publish them. She reads the manuscripts presented to her (novels, biographies, textbooks, plays, etc.), makes recommendations as to the texts to be published and the conditions to be inserted in the contract and suggests modifications to be made to the texts. Finally, she discusses with the author aspects such as royalties, circulation and date of publication.
