Locksmith
The locksmith trade is part of the construction industry.
The locksmith works on closing systems for doors, buildings … He is in charge of the upstream work: forging and adjusting parts. Then he must take care of the installation and maintenance of the installations, and possibly the repair. Its working supports are therefore very large: the traditional lock but also the carpentry (veranda, window …) and the frame (bridge, pylon …). The preparation work is carried out in the workshop, he must then travel to the site to proceed with the installation. He has the status of craftsman or employee. He has a good knowledge of the tools he handles (electric, digital) and knows how to read plans and technical documents. If he specializes in artistic ironwork, he is called upon to draw plans (balconies, etc.) before the manufacturing phase. He works in relation with the architect or decorator.
