Statistics Technician

Person who, in the context of research, surveys and opinion polls aimed at collecting information on social, economic or commercial questions, or at understanding human behavior in different contexts, deals with the organization and IT management of the databases, the statistical analysis of the results and their presentation. She does documentary research, plans the data coding system, collects information, enters the data collected into a computer and, using statistical software and spreadsheets, performs the operations necessary to quantify the results based on research needs (eg counting of responses, calculations of percentages and averages, numerical classification of results by category). She is also responsible for preparing various tables and graphs illustrating the results and for writing, in whole or in part, research reports or other presentation documents.
