The archivist profession is part of the Administrative domain.

Responsible for collecting archives, but also their study and restoration, the archivist has an important role in the conservation of documents.The documents to be archived can be from different sources such as manuscripts medieval or even letters of nobility, or the notarial deed of purchase of a property. It is possible to exercise this profession in the territorial public service or in the national and regional archives. The archivist is responsible for all these exceptional documents that he must keep intact and in the best conditions. He may also be in contact with people who wish to consult these archives for various reasons.
